We are proud of our history and heritage which is rooted as far back as the nineteenth century. Take a look at how far we have come since our inception, back in 1896.On May 8, 2012, KCB Bank Burundi Ltd was officially launched by His Excellency the President of Burundi Pierre Nkurunziza at Boulevard Patrice Lumumba. Also present were former KCB Group Chairman Peter W. Muthoka and former KCB Group CEO Martin Oduor-Otieno.
With an investment of around 10 million USD, KCB Burundi began operations with a centrally-located branch and two ATM QuickServe machines. With the opening of the Burundi branch, KCB made history as the first local bank to have a complete presence in all the countries that make up the East African Community.
