Mrs. Carine Niyokindi serves as Senior Manager, Sahl Banking & KCB Foundation Manager at KCB Bank Burundi Ltd. In this role, she leads the bank’s strategic agenda in Islamic banking, financial inclusion, ensuring the delivery of ethical, Shariah‑compliant financial solutions tailored to the needs of individuals, businesses and underserved communities. She leads the Strategic agenda of Corporate Social Responsibilities as well as ensuring sustainable community impact.
With over a decade of experience at KCB Bank Burundi, Carine drives strategic growth, product innovation and development, Risk Management, Project Management, and community empowerment. She led the development and launch of Burundi’s first Shariah-compliant Banking products and implemented high-impact CSR programs, focused on youth and women empowerment, entrepreneurship and equitable access to education.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the International University of Africa in Khartoum, Sudan, and has earned multiple industry‑recognized certifications from the General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI), including the Certified Islamic Specialist in Product Development (CISPD), the Certified Islamic Specialist in Risk Management (CISRM) and the Certified Islamic Banker (CIB). She has also completed leadership programs such as Breakthrough Mastery Circle, Presence Code Masterclass, Self Leadership from Breakthrough Leadership Transformation (BLT) Group.
