Mrs. Lyse has a MBA in Finance from Mount Kenya University, a bachelor degree in Management and Administration from Light University of Burundi and CPAB by Kasneb. She is an experienced audit professional with over 14 years of expertise in internal and external auditing. Brings a strong background in risk management, internal controls, and regulatory compliance, developed through extensive work in financial institutions, public sector organizations, and audit firm.
Currently she is Head of Internal Audit, a position she has held since November 2022 . she leads internal audit functions, enhance risk management processes and internal control systems. Prior to the current role, she has been a Senior Internal Auditor at KCBB and Internal Auditor at Burundi Revenue Authority for 7 years, also she gained valuable experience as an External Auditor in a professional audit firm for 3 years. Demonstrates a consistent commitment to strengthening governance frameworks and enhancing organizational efficiency.
In addition, she has completed several professional trainings in internal audit, further strengthening her capacity in governance, risk, and compliance. She is a member of Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya and Burundi Accountant professional Body (OPC).
