Joseph is a certified public accountant with vast experience spanning over 30 years in audit, tax and financial advisory services. Joseph is the founding partner of Muigai & Associates; a leading accountancy firm in Kenya that has served local and international organisations cutting across multiple industries and sectors. Previously held roles include Treasurer at Karen Country Club, Technical Partner at Kangethe & Associates, and Senior Audit Manager at Deloitte. Joseph holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the United States International University (USIU) and is a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
Joseph serves as the Chairman of KCB Bank Burundi and the Audit Committee Chair of KCB Bank Kenya.
Yvette Munkurize holds a Bachelor’s degree in Politic economic from University of Burundi and is a member of the Order of Professional Accountants of Burundi (OPC). She has over 29 years’ experience in audit and accounting. She has worked in capacity of Independent consultant in Accounting and financial audit as an expert in the internal control and account review aspects in several companies and banks in Burundi such as Ecobank, BNDE, BBCI, FPHU, SODECO and OTB.
Yvette serves as the Chairman of the Board of “I-WIN” limited. Yvette joined the Board of KCB Bank Burundi in August 2020 as a Non-Executive Director.
Margaret holds a Master of Business Administration from the Curtin University, Australia, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), Economics & Business Administration from Kenyatta University of kenya.
She has worked in several capacities in Kenya, and international business such as Unilever Kenya Ltd and Unilever South Africa, Marketing Director at Celter Tanzania, Sustainability Director at Ericsson, Non-Executive Director of Brand Kenya Board, and Strategy & Marketing Consultant at New Heights Consultants Ltd.
Margaret joined the Board of KCB Bank Burundi in August 2018 as a Non-Executive Director. She chairs the Audit Committee and sits in the Risk and Credit Committees.
Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree from Kenyatta University and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (CPA-K). He has over 20 year’s senior management experience in business strategy, finance, commercial, audit and accounting. He worked at Standard Media Group Kenya Limited as Assistant Group Commercial Director and also served as Group Financial Controller in the same Group. Prior to this, he worked as a senior auditor at KPMG East Africa.
OTHER DIRECTORSHIPS: Lawrence is a non-executive director of Kenya Seed Company Limited where he chairs the Audit committee. He also serves as the Chairman of Simlaw Seeds Company Limited.
Christian Nibasumba joined the KCB Bank Burundi Board in January 2021, as Non-Executive Director. He has for the past ten years been working in the international development world. Since 2019, Christian has been the Burundi Country Representative of Trade Mark East Africa (TMEA), prior to that he was the Advisor to the Africa Division of UK's Christian AID, on areas of Market systems development, Senior Program Officer at CA Burundi, Grants Manager within the Public Diplomacy Section of the US Embassy in Bujumbura, Deputy Director & Training Manager of the Burundi Business Incubator-BBIN. In 2018, Christian took part in the Leading Economic Growth program offered by the Harvard Kennedy School in Boston, USA. He also holds an MBA Finance from United States International University-Nairobi & a Bachelor’s degree in Business administration from Uganda Martyrs University.
Japheth was appointed the Group Human Resource Director, KCB Group PLC on July 8, 2019. He has over 19 years’ of work experience spanning executive and key roles including Africa Regional HR Director (Allianz Africa), Group HR Business Manager – Operations and Technology and Head of HR eProcess International (Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, Accra-Ghana), Head of HR Operations & Employee Shared Services (Safaricom Ltd), West & Central Africa Human Resource Head (Citibank N.A Ltd, Dakar, Senegal), Senior Division Human Resource Generalist- Sub Sahara Africa Division (Citibank N.A Ltd, Johannesburg, South Africa), Acting Country Human Resource Officer (CHRO) - Citibank Tanzania (Citibank N.A Ltd, Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania) and Compensation and Benefits Manager – Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda (Citibank N.A Ltd, Nairobi, Kenya).
Japheth holds a Master’s degree of Science (Human Resource Management & Training) from University of Leicester – London, UK; Post Graduate Certificate (Human Resource Management) from university of Wales – London, UK and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed. Science) from Kenyatta university – Nairobi, Kenya.
Masika Mukule was appointed the Managing Director KCB Bank Burundi in June 2020.
He has worked in the banking industry for over 27 years, during which he has held several senior management roles. These include: Head of Retail- KCB Bank Tanzania; Acting Managing Director- KCB Bank Tanzania; Senior Corporate Relationship Manager – KCB Bank Kenya; Initiative Leader- Retail Sales Stimulation Program, KCB Bank Kenya; Branch Manager at KCB Bank Kenya’s University Way and Sarit Centres Branches, and Branch Manager at Co-operative Bank of Kenya’s University Way and Ukulima Branches. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Kurukshetra University, India. He also holds a Diploma in Financial Management from the Management studies Institute, New Delhi, India and attended advanced Bank Managers course in Odense Business College, Denmark.
Herbert Fyiroko joined KCB Bank in 2013 as Legal Manager. Herbert has since August 2019 been appointed as Company Secretary & Head of Legal Services. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Ngozi. He has over 14 years of experience in legal practice acquired at the High Court of Bujumbura as a career Magistrate, and Finbank S.A. (An Access Bank Company) as Legal Counsel.
He also serves as Vice President on the Association of Bank’s Lawyers of Burundi (AJBEF Burundi) since 2017 and is a Member of Rotary Club RCBK 2012 in Bujumbura.
