MARKETING & COMMUNICATION MANAGER

The job holder will ensure that the KCB’s corporate image is protected and portrayed in positive light. He (She) will develop and oversee the implementation of a marketing and communication plan; implement the impactful marketing and communication activities of the KCB Bank Burundi and KCB Foundation so as to enable Bank achieve its CSR responsibilities. He (she) will be responsible of identifying and ensuring effective internal and external stakeholder engagement; effective acquisition, usage and maintenance of channels of communication.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development and implementing KCB’s Marketing and Communications’ strategy. This should be conducted alongside the KCB Brand objective and brand guide;
  • Developing annual brand and marketing plans for differentiated complex and diverse product lines, as well as executing tactical initiatives for the products’ marketing in a seamless manner;
  • Creating and managing valuable partnerships, content development and engagement plans across all media;
  • Originating and facilitating the design, production and editing of corporate information for all KCB Burundi publics.
  • Identify thought leadership opportunities for business executives with opinion leaders.
  • Work with business unit to develop campaigns and achieve set objectives in projects driven by the respective business units.
  • Coordinate partner agencies and suppliers to ensure timely execution of projects and campaigns with the aim of achieving the business and brand objectives. 
  • Supervise research and ensure proper dissemination for usage in KCB decision making.
  • Support Corporate Relations for Foundation activities to drive single minded messaging so as to define the Foundation positioning in consumers hearts and minds.
  • Lead, coach, motivate and inspire the marketing team towards excellence as expected of all team members.

 

THE PERSON

For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

  • Bachelor degree in business administration, Communication or Marketing
  • Master’s degree in marketing, Journalism or Communication is an added advantage. 
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Developing, executing and monitoring marketing strategies, campaigns, and communication plans, Media Service Providers Relationship Management, branding, media relations, and corporate communications.
  • Strong planning capabilities and working relationship with external co-sourcing provider and internal lines of businesses.
  • A good understanding of market & operational risk should be demonstrated.
  • Effective business writing and professional communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated competencies in championing high performance.
  • Ability to work closely with various Business Units whilst retaining independence.
